On September 10, 2015, I underwent heart surgery. The specific procedure was a mitral valve repair. It was the first operation I’d ever had, and in fact the first time I’d ever been hospitalized overnight. The following posts tell the story of my experience being a heart surgery patient. I’m recovered now, but it was a scary thing to go through.
